Twitmart is designed to recognize a set of key categories. These categories revolve around Twitter #hashtags (see twitter hashtags for general information on #hashtags). There is method in the Twitmart category/hashtag selection. Example: putting "bmw" and selecting "forsale" and clicking search will return all listings that contain BMW and #forsale. You can further refine this search with additional words.
Many Tweets have too many #hashtags in them. This makes them untidy and less attractive to forward. If you have a car for sale, there isn't a lot of value to presenting as #CAR #MODEL etc. Thus we recommend using our standard categories generally. These categories are likely to drive the most traffic to your classified. You will also benefit from our SEO optimization.
Making your search more specific may identify key words you may want to add to Tweet to make your own posting more successful.
Can I search other #categories?
Yes you can- manually. Use the following url format. http://twitmart.org/area/hashtag where hashtag is the name. Eg BMW not #BMW. Thus http://twitmart.org/area/bmw will return all items that reference the Twitter Hashtag #bmw.
